A look back at trends – trends to watch in 2009

History always informs the future and to be truly innovative you have to look back and determine what people thought would be trending then. This article from the Harvard Business Review discussed ten trends to watch out for in 2009. While most of the trends have been spot on, there were also certain trends that, while not off the mark, would merit a re-examination today, for example, the refocusing towards older consumers as opposed to new/young ones.
